I walked the distance of 13 miles walking 100 yards 226 times shooting 678 arrows whilst the club members of the Archers of East Riding undertook a competition shooting at various heart themed targets. We held a raffle, sold cakes and refreshments. We also held some Have-A-Go sessions for non-Archers to try their hand at the art of Archery. I would like to thank all of the Club Members who donated raffle prizes and money as part of of my fundraising efforts in aid of the British Heart Foundation. A big thank you to all those who helped set up for the day, ran the catering, raffle and cake stand and ensured that everything ran smoothly Thank you to those who took part in the funshoot, unfortunately I couldn’t arrange better weather but well done to everyone that stuck it out and I hope you enjoyed the targets and the shooting!!! Thanks to those family and friends who supported the event in such inclement conditions A massive thank you and very much heartfelt gratitude to the small band of archers who saw me through the day and stayed until my 678th arrow, you don’t know how much that was appreciated and how much it meant to me With many thanks to you all and and to the members, friends and families of the Archers of East Riding we raised the grand total of £660 Pictures to follow David...

Yorkshire Combined At Sandburn Hall 22nd Feb 2015 A Portsmouth Round was shot in the morning and a Worcester in the afternoon. Sophie Joyce won Junior Lady under 18 Recurve with 787 a PB for both rounds. Hi All, We are to hold a meeting on Friday 6th Feb at 8 pm at the Bell Hotel Driffield to talk about the 720 Head to Head comp we are holding on 27th Sept 2015. Sunday 15th February we will shoot a Frostbite round Seniors and Juniors for the Postal League. Tuesday 17th February we will shoot the Fita 18 for Recurve Archers and a Bray 1 for Long Bow Archers I will book the hall for an extra 30 mins. Tuesday 24th February we will shoot the Portsmouth round for the Postal League. We have been asked to do a Have A Go at Bishop Wilton on Saturday 18th July please let me know if we are to take part then we can arrange Transport etc . Dont forget all scores to Trevor or Carole. Happy New Year. It was great to see all the new bows and equipment that Santa had sent to all members on Sunday even the Compound bow! Dates for January 2015. Friday 9th January we are to have a social night out in Driffield for drinks we are to meet at the Bell Hotel at 8 pm all welcome. We start back indoors on Tuesday 6th January .We will shoot the Fita 18 Recurve Archers and Bray 1 for Long Bow Archers. I will book the hall for an extra 30 mins. Tuesday 20th January we will shoot the Postal League Portsmouth Round. Sunday 25th January we will shoot the Postal League Frostbite Round Juniors are included in this Postal League. We have booked the Fita 720 Head to Head for 27th September 2015. Competitions to be held at our field during 2015 as follows. Y.A.A Clout Shoot 19th April 2015 A.O.E.R Double Clout Shoot 23/24th May 2015 Long Bow Shoot 11th July 2015 Y.A.A Long Bow Shoot 8th August 2015 Long Bow Shoot 26th September 2015 A.O.E.R Fita 720 Head to Head 27th September 2015 All club members may take part in these competitions if not shooting.
