Club members enjoyed a great day at Chantry Bowman Indoor Competition at Rotherham on Sunday. The gents Recurve Team Steve Shipley 554 David Reaney 547 Matt Hamer 544 and Kiran Farr 523 Total 2168 Taking 1st Place. Aaron Rose under 18’s Score 482 1st Place. Novice Archer Kiran Farr Score 523 1st Place. Sophie Joyce even won the raffle taking home a cuddly blanket and a lovely woolly hat. Watch out Jon they may be your Christmas presents !!! Well Done to all. I have lost the Christmas Party list of who are to attend the Christmas Dinner i think i have asked everybody if i have not asked you please let me know as soon as possible. Thursday 28th November we will hold the 2nd Round of the Fita18 Recurve Archers and the Bray 1 for longbow Archers. Sunday 1st Dec David is planning to hold a Competition for Juniors Start time 10.30 am. Two Local boys Blain Nicholson and Thomas Mowforth who shoot for Archers Of East Riding have been chosen to shoot at the new Regional Performance Academies by Archerygb based at Bishop Burton College. The academies represent a change in the sport and how young archery talent is being developed in the country The new academies will also promate coaching in the region.
